The Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation - Beauvoir School
Drawing on more than two decades of experience as a head of schools, Amy Purcell Vorenberg worked at The Philadelphia School for seven years prior to starting at Beauvoir, the National Cathedral Elementary School, where she served until 2017. At Beauvoir, Amy Purcell Vorenberg worked collaboratively with three more institutions to manage the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation (PECF).

Located in Washington, DC, the PECF has promoted the causes of education, religion, and charity since it was chartered by Congress over 100 years ago. It is made up of four institution: the Washington National Cathedral, the St. Albans School, the National Cathedral School for Girls, and Beauvoir. The foundation’s institutions are situated on 59 acres known as the Close, where 1,600 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 attend classes.

Beauvoir is focused on early childhood education in a diverse community. The school's study model considers each child as unique and puts them at the center of the work. Beauvoir sustains life rules and values into the children's education process; students learn from a very young age about ethics, character, and what it means to be a member of society.
